Make Everything New!

“What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now.” ~Author Unknown

Yesterday’s photography class was a blast!  We went on a scavenger hunt in downtown Paducah; looking not necessarily for things but for “concepts or challenges” to photograph and practice our skills.  Challenges like two dimensional lines; reflections; black and white portrait filling the frame; image made with the camera on the ground; etc.  Our scavenger hunt list probably had about 25 or so items to photograph.  The activity generated a great deal of creativity from the talented class members.

Today’s blog image was my shot taken with the camera on the ground.  Try it some time!  The results can be interesting and amazing.  =)

Beautiful composition, Sue. I recently tried this technique and loved the results; however, I had to yell at my husband to come pick me up because I was laying in a gravel driveway. Everytime I moved, the rocks just dug in my knees and elbows. Totally worth the shot, though. 😉

Sue: The scavenger hunt is a fabulous idea. I assume you don’t mind if I borrow it and suggest it to my camera club. This sort of challenge would push us out of our boxes.
