Street Rod Hoodies

Photographed at the recent Street Rod Show in downtown Paducah,  hood ornaments are nearly an “art form” in their own right.  While most attendees of the show were admiring the souped up engines or shiny paint finishes on the flashy but beautiful cars, I was admiring details such as this.

Only a photographer would put together a series of images of hood ornaments at a car show…:-)

Nice collection Sue! I love that you choose black and white for this series. The hood ornaments really lend themselves to b&w with their architectural forms.

You are so hip and with it! First, those hood shots are gallery material and you should definitely market them. Second, where did you find that great slide show software? Let me know.

What a neat presentation of these bits of vehicular artistry. I wonder, did average car owners of days gone by customize their hoods with these ornaments or is this something that collectors have adopted for showing their vehicles?
