Gearing Up For Spring

Once again motivated by Shutter Sisters, I went out this afternoon to look for “signs of spring.”  Even though the day was dreary, chilly, and not too spring like, I found the trees putting out these blossoms.

    Beautiful macro. I especially like how the buds create a little frame around the open flower. There are a few blooming trees in my neighborhood that I’ve been TRYING to photograph. It’s been so darn breezy, they just won’t cooperate.
