What a wonderful shot Sue, I just made some new friends in Southern Illinois which I had a hankering to think about today. I am sure this is the wonderful smokies you are in here! I like the three saplings in the shot too. A mile from any road in Southern Illinois is a cabin like this, Alaska too for that matter.

Lovely image, Sue. Brings me to ponder the people who occupied this old homestead and the lives they led….

So lovely, Sue… and so true these word. That which can’t be bought is most valuable.

I love that narrow branch going across the top of the frame, and the rock in LRC. Nice rustic feel.

What a great writing prompt this shot is… perfect inspiration for Nanowrimo.
The framing is perfect… creates mystery and suspense… could be creepy or welcoming.
