Ironically, rural America has become viewed by a growing number of Americans as having a higher quality of life not because of what it has, but rather because of what it does not have! ~Don A. Dillman
God made the country, and man made the town. ~William Cowper, The Task

Oh, beautiful rural scenery and I just love the last one. Something about the line of the road, curving downwards and disappearing from view makes it for me…
You had a nice afternoon drive Sue with all these beautiful, probably last pictures of fall. I love the warm colors.
Thanks, friends. I must add that the image with the cows was taken on the farm of a good friend of mine. And, the other photos were taken just “down the road” from her farm. Beautiful countryside……
Looks like a wonderful drive…
Last bits and pieces of autumn color!
those blue skies are so vivid and compliment your nature shots so well. Unbelievable how all the colors pop.

the sky you got in #1 is to die for! that’s my kinda sky!
brilliant colors here…did you do some enhancements because they look “fab”
Thanks gals.
Jen, it simply was a beautiful day. A day when everything just sparkled. I used a polarizing filter. I actually remembered to use it AND to turn it! And, processed in Lightroom (knowing me probably using a preset) and darn it, had to take them in Photoshop to remove some dust spots.
Sue, you are a genius at picking the right angle, that has the best light, the best balance in composition, the best color, yada and other photographic terms I do not know. I just love your photos,
I want to buy a Calendar?!
Barbara, thanks as always for your visits and comments. I’ll certainly help you get a calendar, dear friend!
Give me a drive through the country any day over a drive through the cities. Not that I don’t like cities. I do. But I don’t want to spend a lot of my time there.
